Alzheimer's Disease International believes that the key to winning the fight against dementia lies in a unique combination of Global Solutions and local knowledge. As such, it works locally, by empowering Alzheimer associations to promote and offer care and support for people with dementia and their carers, while working globally to focus attention on dementia. ADI releases an annual report which focuses on a different dementia-related topic each year. The World Alzheimer's Report 2020: Design, Dignity, Dementia: Dementia-related design and the built environment recognized Abe's Garden Memory Support Center of Excellence as a "paradigm-shifting environment." The year-long study provides a global perspective of dementia design progress, best practices, and pioneers and innovators across various spaces extending from residential care to public buildings. The report features 84 case studies from 27 countries; Abe's Garden Memory Support Center of Excellence is one of nine United States-based residential care center case studies featured in the report and is named a “groundbreaker” in dementia design.

In an effort to share findings and elevate dementia care, Abe’s Garden Community Senior Director, Quality Analysis and Interim Executive Director Chris Coelho, Andrew Sandler, PhD, and VCQA’s John Schnelle, PhD, and Sandra Simmons, PhD, co-authored two published research papers:
