Day program

The Club is a monthly membership program designed for individuals living with dementia at home who would benefit from the engagement programs offered to Abe's Garden Community residents.  The Club program is 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. either five days (Monday through Friday) or three days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) each week. Additional days may be accommodated by appointment.

Other options, such as early arrival (7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.), late stay (3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.), and evening program (5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) are available upon request for an additional fee. An overnight stay may be possible pending suitable accommodations.

Prospective Club participants will receive a multi-faceted assessment administered by Abe’s Garden Community management team members. Participants must be able to feed themselves, use the restroom with prompting, and have sufficient mobility (with support) to ambulate within the community.

For more information on The Club, please contact Judy Given at jgiven@abesgarden.org or 615.733.2682.

This FAQ covers what caregivers should do after a loved one's diagnosis during early stages of dementia.

Ryan, son of a member of The Club
“[We are so] happy with the Independence Plus caregivers and service. It has truly been a lifesaver and game-changer.”
Barry Fogle, son of a resident
“Abe’s Garden® gave [my mother] new gifts, activities, the sound of music and other people. If she wanted it, Abe’s gave her history classes, news, gardening, cooking, arts and more. Most of all, Abe’s gave her love.”
Ed Gore, AGCG participant
“It’s a relief to find a group of people that I can really associate with. I’m building friendships here, which I really appreciate.”
