Abe’s Garden Community is establishing a replicable model for senior life that is focused on brain health, wellness and purposeful living.
Every great organization has an enduring mission and an aspirational vision. Since inception, the Abe’s Garden mission has been exclusively focused on improving the lives of those touched by Alzheimer’s disease and related memory challenges.
Knowing that our long-term vision is to enhance the lives and cognitive health of all seniors, not just those living with memory loss, the board of directors and leadership team elected to make some name changes that better reflect this vision. We decided to unite all on- and off-campus services, including those formerly named Park Manor, under one name: Abe’s Garden Community.
As Abe’s Garden Community, we remain committed to fostering healthy living for older adults. In separate spaces, we will continue to provide residential options for those choosing to live independently, those needing assisted living and those with memory loss who require specialized care.
As a unified organization, under one name, we can share innovative programming, wellness initiatives, and financial resources to achieve our common mission of serving older adults and their caregivers, whether on or off our campus.
Select wellness and brain health programs, that are considered some of the best in the country, will be available to all residents right where they live. And philanthropic resources will impact the entire community.
Not everyone realizes that we are a nonprofit organization – one of our greatest assets. This means that Abe’s Garden Community is focused on improving the quality of life for older adults and invests financial resources into our organization to accomplish this. As a nonprofit, we will continue to seek philanthropic partners to help enhance programming and improve campus grounds and buildings.
The focus of an organization should evolve and grow, based on the needs of those it serves. We will continue to innovate, execute, improve, and evolve as our changing world demands.
Our expanded mission is inspiring to all of us in service to our residents and seniors throughout the country and, indeed, around the world.
